PVC demister pad is another commonly used type among plastic demister pad. PVC material has its own characters to be used in specific applications.

1.Flame resistance performance. The rate of flame retardant is more than 40%, which is better than the PP demister pad and PE demister pad.
2.High chemical stability. The PVC demister pad is resistant the 90% concentration of hydrochloric acid, 60% sulfuric acid and 20% sodium hydroxide.
3.Strong mechanical strength. It can be made into different types and used in the high strength applications.
4.Good electrical insulating properties. Like all the plastic material demister pad, the PVC demister pad has good electric insulation property than the stainless steel demister pad and Non-SS metal demister pad.

Specifications of PVC demister pad

1.Wire diameter: 0.2 mm, 0.22 mm, 0.23 mm, 0.25 mm, 0.28 mm, 0.3 mm, 0.35 mm.
2.Mesh size: 2 mm × 3 mm, 4 mm × 6 mm to 12 mm × 6 mm.
3.Height or thickness: 100 mm to 150 mm.
4.Pad diameter: 300 mm - 6000 mm.
5.Structure type: wavelike type, drawer type, embedded type.
6.Shape: round shape, ring shape, rectangular shape and special shapes.
7.Pad grating material: carbon steel, stainless steel or plastic.

Applications of PVC demister pad

The PVC demister pad is widely used in the distillation, absorption, evaporation and filtration process in petroleum, oil refining, chemical industry, metallurgy, machinery, pharmaceuticals, and automotive industry.

Warming tips

The PVC demister pad has poor heat resistance performance, it can not be used in the extremely high environments.
PVC can be dissolved in ether, ketones, chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons and other organic solvents. So they cannot be used in the related solvent applications.
