Honeycomb Inclined Tube Settler/ Lamella Plate For Wastewater Treatment

Tube settlers, also called lamella clarifiers, are used to remove solids in the waste water treatment.tube settlers are single plastic profiles combined to tubes. This design multiplies the sedimentation area up to 15 times per square meter surface area and helps to improve sedimentation in water and waste water treatment plants.Different executions support a better process and cost reduction of the plant.

Tube settlers increase the settling capacity of circular clarifiers and/or rectangular sedimentation basins by reducing the vertical distance a floc particle must settle before agglomerating to form larger particles. The settlers use multiple tubular channels sloped at an angle of 60° and adjacent to each other, which combine to form an increased effective settling area. This provides for a particle settling depth that is significantly less than the settling depth of a conventional clarifier, reducing settling times. Tube settlers capture the settleable fine floc that escapes the clarification zone beneath the tube settlers and allows the larger floc to travel to the tank bottom in a more settleable form. The settler's channel collects solids into a compact mass which promotes the solids to slide down the tube Channel.

Tube Settler Working Principle

First, they provide a large surface area for settlement of particles. This is because of the angle at which they are joined.

Secondly, they are used to accumulate the smaller particles until they form larger particles that can move down the pathway uniformly.

Tube settlers are common in rectangular clarifiers, where they increase the settling surface area of particles. This works by means of increasing the vertical distance the particle will have to move before settling.

By the use of parallel tubes, tube settlers make upward water movement to be uniform.

Tube Settler Material And Asemmbly Method
1. PP material Tube Settler is food grade, it can be blue and white color.
PVC material can be blue and black color.
Both of PP and PVC material can add UV protection.
2.Assembly method: PVC tube settler: glue adhesion,
PP tube settler: fusion (ironing iron hot melt)

Tube Settler Advantages

♦ Tube settlers increase allowable flow capacity by expanding settling capacity and increasing the solids removal rate in settling tanks.
